San Felipe: The Gateway to the Sea of Cortés

The beaches of this natural area are amazing extensions with oscillations created by the tides. Recognized as the shrimp capital of Baja California, in this exceptional place you can visit the numerous caves with cave paintings and make eco-tours to the Valle de los Gigantes to see the cacti that measure more than 17 meters high. You can also find places to camp on the beach and be in contact with the sea breeze, gaze at the mountains of the Sierra de San Pedro Mártir which highest peak measures 3,070 meters tall. As well as sport fishing almost all year in its warm waters. At low tides, a unique experience is being able to walk meters and meters deep over sand that hours earlier was completely covered with ocean water.

Bahía de los Ángeles: Marine and Terrestrial Oasis

The natural beauty of this region stands out for its combination of desert and mountains blending into the warm sea. In addition to enjoying the experience of appreciating the diversity of marine life, it is surprising to admire the nine different species of whales: blue, gray, minkes, humpbacks, killer whales, Bryde's, pilot and sperm whales and giant manta rays, sea lions, sea turtles and dolphins, among others.
